Section 43 of Ordinance No. 1483, entitled <br /> <br />"An Ordinance Establishing Salaries for Employees of the City <br /> <br />of Redwood City, and, repealing Ordinance No. 1445," adopted <br /> <br />February 22, 1971, is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"SECTION 43. Employees appointed to the following <br /> <br />positions shall receive compensation computed in <br /> <br />accordance with an annual salary in the below designated <br /> <br />dollar amounts: <br /> <br />Assistant City Manager <br /> <br />$22,000 <br /> <br />Chief Building Official <br /> <br />$17,600 <br />$19,100 <br /> <br />City Librarian <br /> <br />Director of Public Works <br /> <br />(Position vacant) <br /> <br />Fire Chief <br /> <br />$20,200 <br />$16,800 <br /> <br />Park Superintendent <br /> <br />Personnel Director <br /> <br />(Position vacant) <br /> <br />Planning Director <br /> <br />$21,200 <br /> <br />Police Chief <br /> <br />$21,100 <br /> <br />Recreation Director <br /> <br />$18,625 <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />SECTION 2.
