J~ 7.3 <br /> <br />NfN 2 711 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 33.32 OF THE CODE OF THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, RELATING TO SCHEDULE OF RATES <br />FOR TAXICABS <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Section 33.32 of the Code of the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 33.32. It shall be unlawful for <br /> <br />the owner or driver of any taxicab in the City <br /> <br />to fix, charge or collect for service a rate more <br /> <br />or less than the following: <br /> <br />1. For the first one-sixth mile, sixty cents. <br /> <br />2. For each additional one-seventh mile, ten <br />cents. <br /> <br />3. When carrying passengers whose point of <br />destination is different, the meter shall <br />be turned back to the 'for hire' position <br />each time a passenger is discharged and a <br />fare collected. <br /> <br />4. For each ~iece of luggage in excess of two <br />average s~ze traveling bags, or their <br />equivalent in size, ten cents. <br /> <br />5. For waiting time, eight dollars per hour: <br />provided, however, that charges for waiting <br />time of less than one hour shall be reduced <br />proportionately. <br /> <br />6. Scrip may be issued at a discount of ten <br />per cent upon sale of each five dollars <br />of scrip tickets as a unit." <br /> <br />SECTION 2.
