<br />year July 1, 1970-June 30, 1971. <br />SECTION 2. APPROPRIATIONS. From and after the operative <br />date of this ordinance, the several amounts stated in the annual <br />budget referred to in Section 1 hereof as proposed expenditures <br />shall become and thereafter be appropriated to the offices, <br />departments, objects and purposes therein stated for the fiscal <br />year to which said budget is intended to apply and said moneys <br />are hereby authorized to be expended for the purposes and objects <br />specified in said budget. The notations, memoranda, and information <br />contained in those portions of the budget identified as "Depart- <br />mental Activity Budget Detail" (including the portions thereof <br />designated "Permanent Personnel Quota," and "Description of <br />Reconunended Capital Expenditures," and the explanatory conunents), <br />the explanatory and descriptive cowaents following the Depart- <br />mental Activity Budget Sununaries and the Appendix are for <br />infonnational purposes only and shall not be construed to limit <br />or affect in any manner any appropriation item. <br />SECTION 3. TRANSFERS, ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS, CANCELLA- <br />ATIONS. From time to time during the fiscal year to which <br />said budget is intended to apply, the Council may transfer sums <br />from any appropriated item to any other appropriated item by <br />resolution. Additional appropriations may be made and author- <br />ized in accordance with the procedure established in Section <br />51.5 of the Charter of the City of Redwood City. No appropria- <br />tion set forth in said budget, or in any subsequent ordinance <br />or resolution, shall be cancelled in whole or in part except <br />by ordinance adopted by the affirmative vote of 5/7ths of all <br />merr~ers of the Council; provided, however, that transfers of <br />sums from one appropriated item to any other appropriated item <br />may be accomplished by resolution. <br /> <br />-2: <br /> <br />~' , <br />
