ORD1.NA]iCE N o. l43(O AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY APPROVING THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY OF CERTAIN IN- HABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "LP.KEVIEW V/AY ANNEXATION NO.2" WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation Act of 1913, and pursuant to Ordinance No. 1422, adopted by the City Council of the City of Redwood City on the 8th day of september, 1969, a special election was held on the 4th day of November, 1969, in inhabited territory contiguous to the City of Redwood Ci ty designate(~ as "Lakeview \'iay Annexatio.n No.2," and which is hereinafter more particularly described; and WHEREAS, at said special election the following question was submitted to the qualified electors residing in said territory: Shall "Lakeview Way Annexati.on No.2" be annexed to the City of Redwood City, and the property in such territory be, after such annexation, subject to taxation equally with the property within the City of Redwood City, to pay the entire bonded indebtedness of the City of Redwood City outstanding or authorized at the date of the first publication of the notice of election, for the acquisition, construction or completion of municipal improvements? and WHEREAS, it appears from the canvass of the returns of the votes cast at the special election that a majority of all votes cast in said territory on the question of annexation upon the terms contained in the question submitted, was in favor of said annexation; and WHEREAS, it appears that the special election and all proceedings relating thereto have been conducted strictly in accordance with law; Nad, THEREFORE ; THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLO&S: SECTION 1.
