NAN C E N O. <br /> <br />l..fd' <br /> <br />.... <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE REPEALING DIVISION 2 OF ARTICLE II OF <br />CHAPTER 6 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY; <br />AMENDING SECTIONS 6.23 AND 6.25 AND ADDING DIVISION <br />2 OF ARTICLE II OF CHAPTER 6 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO FIRE AND CLOSING-OUT SALES <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Division 2 of Article II of Chapter 6 <br /> <br />(commencing with Section 6.28) of the Code of the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City is hereby repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. Section 6.23 of the Code of the Ci~ of <br /> <br />Redwood City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 6.23 For the purposes of this article, the <br /> <br />following words and phrases shall have the meanings respectively <br /> <br />ascribed to them by this section: <br /> <br />"Advertise, advertisement, advertising, publish, <br /> <br />pUblication Shall mean any and all means, whether oral, written, <br /> <br />lettered or printed, used for conveying to the public notice <br /> <br />of the conduct of a sale as defined herein, or notice of intention <br /> <br />to conduct such sale, including but not limited to oral or written <br /> <br />announcements by proclamation or outcry, newspaper advertisement, <br /> <br />magazine advertisement, handbill, written or printed notice, printed <br /> <br />display, billboard display, poster and radio announcement. <br /> <br />"Inspector Shall mean an inspector appointed by or <br /> <br />authorized by the Manager. <br /> <br />"Manager Shall mean the City Manager of the City of <br />Redwood City, or a person designated by said City Manager to act <br /> <br />in his behalf. <br /> <br />"Permit Shall mean a permit issued pursuant to this <br /> <br />article. <br />
