The provisions of the foregoing sections of this ordinance to the ~ontrary notwithstanding, if a position allocated to a given class in the competitive service is reallocated to a different class in order to correct an error or to provide for a change in duties or responsibilities of such position, and there is no change in the incumbent of the position so reallocated, and the maximum salary provided for the position as reallocated is less than the salary received by the incumben~ prior to reallocation, then said incumbent shall continue to be compensated at the rate paid said incumbent prior to such reallocation. SECTION 45. Ordinance No. 1286, adopted January 9, 1967, entitled IIAn Ordinance Establishing Salaries for Employees of the City of Redwood City; and, Repealing Sections 1 through 46 of Ordinance No. 1232," as amended, is hereby repealed, effective January 1, 1969.
