connections or heating apparatus, or other cause, is determined by the Fire Marshal to be a fire hazard. " (16) Whenever any building or structure is in such a condition as to constitute a public nuisance known to the common law or in equity jurisprudence. "(17) Whenever any portion of a building or structure remains on a site after the demo- lition or destruction of the building or structure or whenever any building or structure is abandoned for a period in excess of six months so as to constitute such building or portion thereof an attractive nuisance or hazard to the public. "(b) A fire hazard shall mean any condition, arrange- ment or act which will increase or may cause an increase of the hazard or menace of fire to a greater degree than that customarily recognized as normal by persons in the public service of preventing, suppressing or extinguishing fire, or which may obstruct, delay or hinder, or may become the cause of obstruction, delay or hindrance to the prevention, suppression or ext ingu ishmen t of fire. 11 SECTION 4. Section 9.6 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby amended to read as follows: Every building or structure which is "Section 9.6 a dangerous building or a fire hazard as those terms are described in Section 9.5, or which is otherwise in a condition or state which endangers the life, health, property or safety of the public or its occupants, is hereby declared to be a pub lic nu isance . " SECTION 5. Section 9.7 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 9.7 Whenever the Building Inspector shall find any building or structure which is a dangerous building or a fire hazard as those terms are described in Section 9.5, or which is otherwise in a condition or state which endangers the life, health, property or safety of the public or its occupants, he shall give notice, in the manner hereinafter -6- or
