<br />REG.ek 8/14/67 <br /> <br />.. -./ I / <br /> <br />?41/t7 <br /> <br />ORD.!N~NCE <br /> <br />N O. /.J~ S- <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE AMOUNT OF MONEY TO BE RAISED <br />BY TAXATION UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY AS REVENUE TO CARRY ON THE VARIOUS <br />DEPARTMENTS OF SAID CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1967-1968, <br />TO PAY THE BONDED INDEBTEDNESS OF SAID CITY FALLING <br />'DUE AND BECOMING PAYABLE DURING SAID FISCAL YEAR TO- <br />GETHER WITH THE INTEREST THEREON, TO MAINTAIN THE <br />PUBLIC LIBRARY OF SAID CITY DURING SAID FISCAL YEAR, <br />TO PROVIDE FUNDS FOR THE RETIREMENT PLAN, TO PROVIDE <br />FUNDS FOR PARKING DISTRICT NO. l, TO PROVIDE FUNDS <br />FOR GENERAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 1-64, AND FIXING <br />AND LEVYING THE TAX RATE THEREFOR <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. GENERAL TAX REVENUE REQUIRED. The total amount <br /> <br />of money to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property within <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City to provide revenue to meet the general <br /> <br />municipal expenses and to carryon the various departments of said <br /> <br />City for the fiscal year July 1, 1967-June 30, 1968: to pay the <br /> <br />interest and principal upon all of the outstanding bonded indebted- <br /> <br />ness of said City, due and becoming payable during said fiscal year: <br /> <br />to maintain the public library of said City during said fiscal year: <br /> <br />and to provide funds for the city's contribution to the retirement <br /> <br />plan voted at the municipal election on April 9, 1940: is hereby <br /> <br />fixed at the total sum of Two Million, Twenty-seven Thousand, <br /> <br />Eight Hundred Fifteen Dollars ($2,027,815.00). <br /> <br />SECTION 2. REVENUE DETAIL AND DISTRICTS. The following general <br /> <br />and special tax rates for the areas hereinafter set forth are hereby <br /> <br />levied and fixed for the fiscal year July 1, 1967-June 30, 1968, <br /> <br />to raise the total revenues set forth in Section 1 hereof, and in <br /> <br />addition thereto the amounts hereinafter set forth for Parking <br /> <br />District No. 1 and General Improvement District No. 1-64, in the <br /> <br />amounts set forth herein as follows, to wit: <br /> <br />(a) One Million, Four Hundred Sixty Thousand, Two Hundred <br /> <br />Forty-eight Dollars ($l,460,248.00) to meet the general municipal <br /> <br />expenses during said fiscal year and for deposit in the General <br /> <br />Fund of said City, and the general municipal tax rate therefor <br /> <br />T <br />
