ORDINANCE N O. 13~cf OR\G\NAL ORDINANCE AI'--lENDING SEcrIONS 5.20 and 5.71 of CHAPTER 5- OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REm'lOOD CITY RELATING TO DOG LICENSE AND ANI~~L IMPOUNDING FEES THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. section 5.20 of Chapter 5 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby amended to read as follows: "SECI'ION 5.20. An annual license fee of four dollars shall be paid for every dog over the age of three months owned and harbored in this city. The annual license fee shall be due the first day of January of each year, and any person who fails to pay such license fee within sixty days after the fee is due, or the dog is required to be licensed, shall pay a penalty of two dollars in addition to the paYment of the license fee here in required." SE~rION 2. Section 5.7l of Chapter 5 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby amended to read as follows: "SECTION 5.71. The fees for animal shelter ser- vices in impounding and caring for animals shall be as follows, and no animal shall be released to its o\v.ner or keeper before such fees are paid in full: (a) For every horse, mare, mule, ass, bull, cow, ox or calf, the sum of ten dollars, and also the sum of two dollars per day for keeping each of the animals, to be paid by the owner thereof. (b) For every sheep, lamb, goat or hog impounded, the sum of five dollars and also the sum of one dollar per day for keeping of each of the animals . to be paid by the O\.mer thereof. (c) For impounding any dog, and all other animals not herein provided for, the sum of two dollars, and also the sum of one dollar per day for keeping each of the animals, to be paid by the owner thereof. (d) For posting notice of animals impounded, the sum of one dollar for each animal sold. (e) For conducting sales, the sum of one dollar for each animal sold." SECTION 3. The provisions of this ordinance shall be effective 30 days after its adoption. * * *
