WHK:yc:5/26/67 o R DIN A N C E --------- N o. 13/'1 ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3.130 OF CHAPTER 3 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, RELATING TO SIGNS THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOE S ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 3.130 of Chapter 3 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 3.130 Notwithstanding the provisions of Division 8 of this article relating to removal of noncon- forming signs, any sign adjacent to any landscaped section of a freeway which fails to conform to the requirements of section 3.129 shall be removed or shall be rearranged or relocated so as to eliminate any conflict with the provisions of this article within one year after such freeway section is landscaped or within one year after any landscaped freeway section is annexed to the City; provided, however, that no sign adjacent to any landscaped section of the freeway shall be required to be removed, or rearranged, or relocated, within five years after the date of its construction or placement. "The provisions of this section shall not be construed as extending the removal period established by Division 8 of this article. A sign shall be deemed to be adjacent to a landscaped section of a freeway if located within 500 feet of a landscaped section of a freeway." SECTION 2. The purpose of this ordinance is to correct the reference to Section 3.129, and not to make any substantive change. It is hereby declared that the change is the result of a clerical error in Ordinance No. 1304, adopted March l3, 1967, and that no substantive change was therein intended insofar as the reference provision is concerned. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be effective 30 days after its adoption. * * *
