<br />"Section 32.147 <br /> <br />Every person carrying on the business <br /> <br />of manufacturing, packing, processing or selling at whole- <br /> <br />sale any goods, wares, merchandise or commodities at a fixed <br /> <br />place of business within the City of Redwood City shall pay <br /> <br />a license tax based on the following rates: $15 per annum <br /> <br />plus $5 per annum for each employee for the first nine <br /> <br />employees in excess of one, plus $3 per annum for each of <br /> <br />the next ten employees, plus $1 per annum for each employee <br /> <br />in excess of 20. The maximum license tax shall be $300. <br /> <br />Every person conducting, managing, <br /> <br />"Section 32.148 <br /> <br />carrying on or engaging in any business, profession or <br /> <br />occupation hereinafter enumerated or carrying on or engaged <br /> <br />in the business of treating, curing, administering to or <br /> <br />giving treatments to the sick, wounded, or infirm for the <br /> <br />purpose of bringing about their recovery by any method or <br /> <br />pursuant to any belief, doctrine or system other than those <br /> <br />hereinafter specifically named and charging a fee or compensa- <br /> <br />tion therefor, shall pay a license tax based on the following <br /> <br />rates: $25 per annum for each person practicing his profession <br /> <br />other than as a salaried employee, plus $10 per annum for <br /> <br />each employee. The maximum license tax shall be $300. As <br /> <br />used in this section, profession shall include but shall <br /> <br />not be limited to the following: <br /> <br />Accountant <br /> <br />Auditor <br /> <br />Abstract and Title <br /> <br />Bacteriologist <br /> <br />Advertising Agent <br /> <br />Blue Printer <br /> <br />Appraiser <br /> <br />Book Agent <br /> <br />Artist <br /> <br />Broker or Commission Agent <br />other than Real Estate Brokers <br />and Agents <br /> <br />Architect <br /> <br />Assayer <br /> <br />Certified Public Accountant <br /> <br />Attorney at Law <br /> <br />Chiropodist <br /> <br />-19- <br />
