<br />.. (b) Every person conducting, managing, carrying on <br />or maintaining any bowling, skee ball or bat ball alley" <br />shuffleboard, pinball machine or any other similar device, <br />equipment or means of entertainment requiring the deposit <br />of a coin, slug, or other device shall pay an annual license <br />tax of $20 for the first alley, machine or device, plus $5 <br />for each additional alley, machine or device. <br />.. (c) Every person carrying on the business of a pool <br />hall or billiard parlor shall pay an annual license tax of <br />$20 for the first pool or billiard table, plus $5 for each <br />additional table. <br />.. (d) Every person conducting, managing, or carrying <br />on the business of an ice or roller skating rink shall pay <br />an annual license tax of $40; provided that this license <br />tax shall not apply to any exhibition given in any restaurant, <br />cafe, hotel or theater, when the public is not permitted to <br />participate in such exhibition. <br />"(e) Every person engaged in the business of, conduct- <br />ing, managing, distributing, leasing, maintaining or operating <br />any coin-operated mechanical amusement devices or machines, <br />including juke boxes, within the City of Redwood City, not <br />otherwise licensed hereunder, shall pay an annual license <br />tax of $20 plus $5 for each machine over five. <br />..
