<br />" <:_. ~:'\>L <br /> <br />ORD.!.NANCE <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />/g()9 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 20.45 01" CHAPTER 20 OF <br />THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO <br />PRIMA FACIE SPEED LIMITS <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Section 20.45 of Chapter 20 of the Code of <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 20.45 It is hereby determined upon the <br /> <br />basis of an engineering and traffic investigation that <br /> <br />the speed permitted by state law outside of business <br /> <br />and residential districts as applicable upon the fol- <br /> <br />lowing streets is greater than is reasonable or safe <br /> <br />under the conditions found to exist upon such streets, <br /> <br />and it is hereby declared that the prima facie speed <br /> <br />limit shall be as herein set forth on those streets <br /> <br />or parts of streets herein designated when signs are <br /> <br />erected giving notice hereof: <br /> <br />II (a) Harbor Boulevard. Declared prima facie speed <br /> <br />limit--35 MPH. <br /> <br />II (b) Industrial Way, between the northerly limits <br /> <br />of the city and Whipple Avenue. Declared prima facie <br /> <br />speed limit--35 MPH. <br /> <br />II (c) Frontage Road on the south side of Bayshore <br /> <br />Freeway between Marsh Road and that certain alley situate <br /> <br />200 feet west of Second Avenue. Declared prima facie <br /> <br />speed limit--35 MPH. <br /> <br />lI(d} Veterans Boulevard between Whipple Avenue and <br /> <br />Chestnut Street. Declared prima facie speed limit--35 MPH. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be effective 30 days after <br />its adoption. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br />
