J " f() <br /> <br />Jan. 30, 1967 <br />ORIG!NAL <br /> <br />ORDINANCE EST1\BLISHING INDEPENDENT ASSESSMENT AND <br />EQUALIZATION PROCEDURE FOR GENERAL IMPROVEMENT <br />DISTRICT NO. 1-64 <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. In accordance with the provisions of Sec- <br /> <br />tion 32.20 of the Code of the City of Redwood City and Sec- <br /> <br />shall be retained by, and shall be performed by, the City of <br /> <br />tion 1307 of Ordinance No. 1128, the following taxation functions <br /> <br />Redwood City and shall not be performed by the County of San <br /> <br />Mateo: <br /> <br />(a) The assessment of all property within General <br /> <br />Improvement District No. 1-64 for the purpose of <br /> <br />levying taxes for said district. <br /> <br />(b) The equalization and correction of assessments <br /> <br />made for purposes of said district. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. The assessment and equalization functions <br /> <br />in accordance with Section 1310 of Ordinance No. 1128. <br /> <br />specified in Section 1 of this ordinance shall be performed <br /> <br />following functions with respect to property taxation for <br /> <br />SECTION 3. The County of San Mateo shall perform the <br /> <br />purposes of General Improvement District No. 1-64: <br /> <br />(i) The collection, payment, and enforcement of taxes, <br /> <br />including delinquent taxes. <br /> <br />(ii) The redemption of property from sale or other <br /> <br />penalty for nonpayment of taxes. <br /> <br />SECTION 4. The provisions of this ordinance shall in no <br /> <br />Code of the City of Redwood City in so far as they relate to <br /> <br />manner effect the provisions of Article II of Chapter 32 of the <br /> <br />the assessment and equalization functions of the County of <br /> <br />San Mateo for any purpose other than General Improvement <br /> <br />District No. 1-64. <br /> <br />SECTION 5.
