NAN C E N O. / ~R4 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 20.48 OF THE CODE OF THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO PEDESTRIAN CROSSWALKS <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. section 20.48 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />The City Manager shall establish, <br /> <br />"Section 20.48 <br /> <br />designate and maintain crosswalks at intersections and other <br /> <br />places by appropriate devices, marks or lines upon the sur- <br /> <br />face of the roadway as follows: <br /> <br />" (a) Crosswalks shall be established and mainta ined <br /> <br />at all intersections where the city manager determines that <br /> <br />there is a particular hazard to pedestrians crossing the <br /> <br />roadway subject to the limitations contained in subsection (b) <br /> <br />of this section. <br /> <br />It (b) Other than crosswalks at intersections, no cross- <br /> <br />walk shall be established in any block which is less than <br /> <br />400 feet in length. Elsewhere, not more than one additional <br /> <br />crosswalk shall be established in anyone block, and such <br /> <br />crosswalk shall be located as nearly as practicable at <br /> <br />mid-bloc~' <br /> <br />SECTION 2.
