J~,g <br /> <br />ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $10, 504 FROM UNBUDGETED <br />UNAPPROPRIATED BALANCE OF OFF-STREET PARKING FUND <br />TO PROVIDE FOR PURCHASE OF PARKING METER MECHANISMS: <br />AND, AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF SAID MECHANISMS WITH- <br />OUT PUBLIC BID <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The sum of ten thousand five hundred four <br /> <br />dollars ($10,504) is hereby appropriated from the unbudgeted <br /> <br />unappropriated balance of the Off-Street Parking Fund for the <br /> <br />purpose of providing for the purchase of parking meter mechanisms <br /> <br />of the same type and manufacture as those already in use by this <br /> <br />City. Said appropriation shall be for expenditure during the <br /> <br />fiscal year July 1, 1966-June 30, 1967, and shall be in addition <br /> <br />to all sums appropriated for such purposes during the fiscal <br /> <br />year July 1, 1966-June 30, 1967. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.76 of <br /> <br />the Code of the City of Redwood City it is hereby found that <br /> <br />strict compliance with the purchasing ordinances of this City <br /> <br />would not serve the public interest since the parking meter <br /> <br />mechanisms are parts for previously purchased equipment, avail- <br /> <br />able from a single source only, and that such parking meter <br /> <br />mechanisms may be purchased without public bid. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. <br /> <br />This ordinance shall be effective 30 days <br /> <br />after its adoption. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br />
