<br />REG:lm 8/11/66-7 <br /> <br />8/15/66 <br /> <br />o R DIN A N C E <br />--------- <br /> <br />li O.~ <br /> <br />r!2~<-JAuJ <br /> <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 2.15 AND 2.16 OF Tfill CODE <br />OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO CITY EMPLOYEES <br />TRANSPORTATION EXPENSES <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Section 2.15 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br />City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />IISECTION 2.15. Transportation expenses shall be <br /> <br />computed as follows: <br /> <br />(a) Actual costs, not to exceed a maximum computed <br /> <br />at ten cents per mile for miles actually traveled, for <br /> <br />transportation or conveyance by carrier service, including <br /> <br />taxicabs, or any privately-owned conveyance. For the pur- <br /> <br />poses of this subsection, the actual cost for miles actually <br /> <br />traveled~ privately-owned conveyance, including fuel, <br /> <br />maintenance and depreciation, shall be deemed equal to the <br /> <br />maximum allowance provided for in this subsection. <br /> <br />(b) Any employee of the City who is required to keep <br /> <br />available his own or a privately-owned automobile for use <br /> <br />in traveling on City business during his working days as a <br /> <br />condition of employment, shall be allowed a maximum of <br /> <br />eight cents per mile actually traveled on City business <br /> <br />plus the monthly sum of thirty-seven dollars, which monthly <br /> <br />sum shall be in lieu of maintenance and depreciation costs.1I <br /> <br />SECTION 2. Section 2.16 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />IISECTION 2.16. For purposes of subsection (b) of <br /> <br />Section 2.15, an employee who is required to keep an auto- <br /> <br />mobile available is one who is so designated by the City <br /> <br />Manager. Claims under subsection (b) of Section 2.15 shall <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />not be submitted more often than once in any month. II <br /> <br />SECTION 3.
