REG:lm 8/11/66-7 8/15/66 o R DIN A N C E --------- li O.~ r!2~<-JAuJ ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 2.15 AND 2.16 OF Tfill CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO CITY EMPLOYEES TRANSPORTATION EXPENSES THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 2.15 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby amended to read as follows: IISECTION 2.15. Transportation expenses shall be computed as follows: (a) Actual costs, not to exceed a maximum computed at ten cents per mile for miles actually traveled, for transportation or conveyance by carrier service, including taxicabs, or any privately-owned conveyance. For the pur- poses of this subsection, the actual cost for miles actually traveled~ privately-owned conveyance, including fuel, maintenance and depreciation, shall be deemed equal to the maximum allowance provided for in this subsection. (b) Any employee of the City who is required to keep available his own or a privately-owned automobile for use in traveling on City business during his working days as a condition of employment, shall be allowed a maximum of eight cents per mile actually traveled on City business plus the monthly sum of thirty-seven dollars, which monthly sum shall be in lieu of maintenance and depreciation costs.1I SECTION 2. Section 2.16 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby amended to read as follows: IISECTION 2.16. For purposes of subsection (b) of Section 2.15, an employee who is required to keep an auto- mobile available is one who is so designated by the City Manager. Claims under subsection (b) of Section 2.15 shall " not be submitted more often than once in any month. II SECTION 3. The provisions of this ordinance shall be effective thirty days after its adoption. * * *
