L c ~ ( AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY APPROVING THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY OF CERTAIN IN- HABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "VISTA DRIVE ANNEXATION" WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation Act of 1913, and pursuant to Ordinance No. 1244 adopted by the City Council of the City of Redwood City on the 16th day of May, 1966, a special election was held on the 5th day of July, 1966, in in- habited territory contiguous to the City of Redwood City des- ignated as "Vista Drive Annexation," and which is hereinafter more particularly described; and WHEREAS, at said special election the following question was submitted to the qualified electors residing in said territory: Shall "vista Drive Annexation" be annexed to the City of Redwood city, and the property in such territory be, after such annexation, subject to taxation equally with the property within the City of Redwood City, to pay the entire bonded indebtedness of the City of Redwood City out- standing or authorized at the date of the first publication of the Notice of Election, for the ,acquisi tion, construction or completion of municipal improvements? and WHEREAS, it appears from the canvass of the returns of the votes cast at the special election that a majority of all votes cast in said territory on the question of annexation upon the terms contained in the question submitted; and WHEREAS, it appears that the special election and all pro- ceedings relating thereto have been conducted strictly in accord- ance with law; NOW THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the annexation of inhabited territory contiguous to the City of Redwood City designated as "Vista Drive Annexation" be and the same hereby is approved upon the terms contained in the aforesaid question which was submitted at the special election held on the 5th day~.of,iJuly, 1966.
