''''53 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 32.20 OF THE CODE OF <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY TO PERMIT CERTAIN FUNCTIONS <br /> <br />TRANSFERRED TO COUNTY OFFICERS TO BE TRANSFERRED TO <br /> <br />A DISTRICT OR IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT ASSESSOR BY <br /> <br />ORDINANCE. <br /> <br />The Council of Redwood City does ordain as <br /> <br />follows: <br /> <br />Section 1. Section 32.20 of the Code of the City <br />of Redwood City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 32.20. In accordance with Section <br /> <br />53.5 of the Charter of the City of Redwood City, <br /> <br />and pursuant to the provisions of Article II <br />(commencing at Section 51540) of Chapter 2, Part <br /> <br />2, Division 1, Title 5, of the Government Code of <br /> <br />the State of California, the following municipal <br /> <br />functions relative to property taxation are hereby <br /> <br />transferred to the County of San Mateo: <br />(a) The assessment of all property within the <br /> <br />City. <br /> <br />(b) The equalization and correction of <br /> <br />assessments. <br /> <br />(c) The collection, payment, and enforcement <br /> <br />of the taxes, including delinquent taxes. <br />(d) The redemption of property from sale or <br /> <br />other penalty for non-payment of City <br /> <br />taxes. <br />
