<br />steel or hard drawn copper piping and fittings and <br />shall extend from the valve to the outside of the <br />building with the end of the pipe not more than two <br />feet nor less than six inches above the ground and' <br />pointing downward. Such drain may terminate all other <br />approved locations. No part of such drain pipe shall <br />be trapped and the terminal end of the drain pipe <br />shall not be threaded. <br />It, (f) All water heating appliances which are <br />installed in a closed system of water piping, or any <br />water heater connected to a separate storage tank and <br />having valves between said heater and tank, shall be <br />provided with a water pressure relief valve. <br />" '(g) Nothing herein contained shall be deemed <br />to preclude the use of an approved temperature control <br />device in addition to the required relief valve or to <br />prevent the installation of an approved combination <br />temperature and pressure relief valve. Each such <br />temperature control device or combination temperature <br />and pressure relief valve shall be installed at an <br />approved location at or within three inches of the <br />hottest part of the heater or tank served and shall <br />be set to operate at 210 degrees Fahrenheit or less <br />and shall be so sized and designed as to prevent any <br />further rise in temperature. Each such combination <br />temperature and pressure relief valve shall be provided <br />with a drain as required in subsection (e) of this <br />section.
