<br />"Section 24.35 <br /> <br />Section 1310.1 is hereby added to the <br /> <br />Plumbing Code to read as follows: <br />" · Section 1310.1 Water heaters shall have safety <br /> <br />pans with drains when located in living area or when <br /> <br />leakage would do damage to the building or its contents. <br /> <br />The pans shall be of metal and be of such dimension as <br /> <br />to provide a minimum of two inch clearance between the <br /> <br />pan and the outside diameter of the heater with a depth <br /> <br />of three inches. The drain shall not be less than <br /> <br />three-fourths inch. The drain may empty into the crawl <br /> <br />space or be taken to the exterior of the building.' <br /> <br />"Section 24.36 <br /> <br />Section l325 is added to the Plumbing <br /> <br />Code to read as follows: <br /> <br />"'Section l325 <br /> <br />All gas appliances, including, <br /> <br />but not limited to, boilers, ranges, ovens, clothes <br /> <br />dryers and burners, shall be installed in full compliance <br /> <br />with the Uniform Building Code of the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City. <br /> <br />"Section 24.37 <br /> <br />Chapter 14 is added to the Plumbing <br /> <br />Code to read as follows: <br /> <br />" · CHAPTER 14 <br />RAINWATER DRAINAGE <br /> <br />" · Section 1401 <br /> <br />(a) Rainwater from roof or other <br /> <br />approved areas exposed to rainwater may be drained into <br /> <br />the storm drainage system, or the combined sanitary <br /> <br />and storm water drainage, but shall not drain into any <br /> <br />sewer intended for sanitary sewage only. <br /> <br />.. · (b) Rainwater drainage below curb, and also <br /> <br />below main sewer level, shall be installed as per <br /> <br />Section 409 of this Code. <br /> <br />-20- <br />
