<br />REPORT <br /> <br />6.10 <br />Page 1 <br /> <br />Tn the HonorabJe Mayor and Oity Council <br />From the City Manager <br /> <br />November 20,2006 <br /> <br />Subject <br />Sequoia Hospital - Amendment to Agreement for Professional Environmental <br />Assessment Services <br /> <br />Recommendation <br />By motion, approve Amendment #1 to the Agreement with David Powers and Associates. <br /> <br />Background <br />I n December 2004, the City Council approved an Agreement for David Powers and Associates <br />to prepare an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the Sequoia Hospital Medical Campus <br />Expansion and Rebuild Project (a partnership project of Sequoia Hospital, Catholic Healthcare <br />West and the Sequoia Healthcare District). <br /> <br />Sequoia Hospital proposes to develop a portion of their medical campus with a new pavilion/ <br />hospital addition, medical office building, parking structure and site improvements. The project <br />will also involve the retrofit and renovation of the existing 343,273 square foot hospital facility. <br />A Precise Plan is also underway that will establish, among other things, comprehensive site <br />planning for the entire 11-acre medical campus. <br /> <br />Sequoia has since revised their project, resulting in the need for David Powers and <br />Associates and their sub-consultants to undertake additional work and attend additional <br />meetings. The amendment amount is $31,125 bringing the total contract value to <br />$190,213.00. <br /> <br />Alternative <br />Do not approve the amendment.
