<br />RJC.ek 8/21/64- <br /> <br />ORD1.l!Al!CE <br /> <br />NO.-U.6..0 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE AMOUNT OF MONEY TO BE RAISED <br />BY TAXATION UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY AS REVENUE TO CARRY ON THE VARIOUS <br />DEPARTMENTS OF SAID CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1964-1965, <br />TO PAY THE BONDED INDEBTEDNESS OF SAID CITY FALLING <br />DUE AND BECOMING PAYABLE DURING SAID FISCAL YEAR <br />TOGETHER WITH THE INTEREST THEREON, TO MAINTAIN THE <br />PUBLIC LIBRARY OF SAID CITY DURING SAID FISCAL YEAR, <br />TO PROVIDE FUNDS FOR THE RETIREMENT PLAN, AND FIXING <br />AND LEVYING THE TAX RATE THEREFOR <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. <br /> <br />The total amount of money to be raised by tax- <br /> <br />ation upon the taxable property within the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />to provide revenue to meet the general municipal expenses and to <br /> <br />carryon the various departments of said City for the fiscal <br /> <br />year July l, 1964-June 30, 1965; to pay the interest and principal <br /> <br />upon all of the outstanding bonded indebtedness of said City, due <br /> <br />and becoming payable during said fiscal year; to maintain the <br /> <br />public library of said City during said fiscal year; and to <br /> <br />provide funds for the City's contribution to the retirement plan <br /> <br />voted at the municipal election on April 9, 1940; is hereby fixed <br /> <br />at the total sum of Two Million, Fifty Thousand, One Hundred <br /> <br />Ninety-eight Dollars ($2,050,l98.00). <br /> <br />SECTION 2. The following general and special tax rates for <br /> <br />the areas hereinafter set forth are hereby levied and fixed for <br /> <br />the fiscal year July 1, 1964-June 30, 1965, to raise the total <br /> <br />revenues set forth in Section 1 hereof in the amounts set forth <br /> <br />herein as follows, to wit: <br /> <br />(a) One Million, Six Hundred Fifteen Thousand, Seven <br /> <br />Hundred Thirty-seven Dollars ($l,6l5,737.00) to meet the general <br /> <br />municipal expenses during said fiscal year and for deposit in <br /> <br />the General Fund of said City, and the general municipal tax <br /> <br />rate therefor is hereby levied and fixed at $1.7249 on each <br />
