<br />REG:yc:7/28/64-7 <br /> <br />o R D .! .!i A N .2. ~ N o. <br /> <br />'11~5 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 21.16 TO THE CODE OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY REIATING TO THE INTERFERENCE WITH, OR <br />INJURY TO, DOGS UNDER THE CONTROL OF LAW ENFORCEMENT <br />OFFICERS IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THEIR DUTmS <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION l. Section 2l.l6 is hereby added to the Code of <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City, to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 21.16 <br /> <br />No person shall injure, tease, strike <br /> <br />or otherwise interfere with any police dog while said dog <br /> <br />is in the custody of, or being used by, a law enforcement <br /> <br />officer in the performance of his duties. <br /> <br />"The term ~police dog' shall mean any dog owned by <br /> <br />or in the custody of the Redwood City Police Department <br /> <br />or any dog specially trained for assistance to law enforce- <br /> <br />ment officers, and which dog is under the control of a law <br /> <br />enforcement officer in the performance of his duties.1t <br /> <br />SECTION 2.
