<br />SECTION 2. Section 6.2 of the Code of the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 6.2. It shall be unlawful for any person <br /> <br />to conduct a public auction sale between the hours of <br /> <br />ll:OO p.m. and 8:00 a.m. or to conduct such a sale on <br /> <br />Sunday." <br /> <br />SECTION 3. Division 3 of Article I of Chapter 6 of the Code <br /> <br />of the City of Redwood City is hereby repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION 4. Division 3 is hereby added to Article I of <br /> <br />Chapter 6 of the Code of the City of Redwood City to read as <br /> <br />follows: <br /> <br />"DIVISION 3. PERMIT FOR AUCTION HOUSE <br /> <br />"Section 6.8. <br /> <br />The term 'auction house' shall mean a <br /> <br />place of business wherein goods, wares or merchandise are <br /> <br />offered for sale at auction as an established and continuing <br /> <br />auction business at a fixed and definite location within <br /> <br />the City. <br /> <br />"Section 6.9. <br /> <br />Every application for an auction house <br /> <br />permit or renewal shall be filed with the City Clerk on forms <br /> <br />approved by the Clerk. <br /> <br />Every application shall contain the following information: <br /> <br />(a) The name and address of the applicant. <br /> <br />(b) The location of the auction house. <br /> <br />(c) The location of every prior auction establishment <br />in which the applicant has been employed or has <br />operated during the past five years and the location <br />and type of all individual auctions or sales which <br />the applicant has participated in during that time. <br /> <br />(d) Such other information as may be requested by the <br />Clerk. <br /> <br />Every original application shall be filed at least 60 <br /> <br />days prior to its effective date and shall be accompanied by <br /> <br />a nonrefundable processing fee of Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00). <br /> <br />- 2 - <br />
