Recognized for his work in <br />the cffies of Azusa, Pasadena, and Ventura, the <br />award places Cole in an elite group of public <br />offICials ranging from the governor of Mississippi <br />to the mayor of Nashville and a Bush Administra- <br />tion official. <br /> <br />Rick is the only city manager and the only <br />Californian in this year's group of awan:tees. <br /> <br />"Califomia has always represented the future <br />to the rest of the nation," said Cole.
