ORAL COMMUNICATIONS AND CONSENT CALENDAR CITY <br />COUNCIUREDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br /> <br />Items on the Consent Calendar are considered to be routine by the City Council will <br />be enacted by one motion and one vote. The Consent Calendar category is limited to <br />15 minutes of comment to be allocated as determined by the Mayor. If you wish to <br />speak to items on the Consent Calendar, please complete a speaker's card and give <br />to Council Assistant. <br /> <br />MIS Ira/Hartnett to waive reading of the Consent Calendar except the ordinances by <br />title, adopt the resolutions and the ordinances, and approve other items. The motion <br />passed by a unanimous roll call vote with Council Member Bain absent. <br /> <br />John Bruno, representing Redwood City Industrial Saltworks, the new venture <br />company between Cargill and DMB Associates, explained their reputation for new <br />urban design and dedication to community based planning. He explained the <br />extensive outreach process designed to solicit the public's opinions and priorities for <br />the property. <br /> <br />Keith Kadera, current director of Hometown Holidays, announced the December 2 <br />event that includes a daylong festival for children and the community from 10-6:30 <br />p.m. The event includes a children's parade, fireworks, an ice sculpture, 60 outside <br />vendors, 14 non-profits and an opportunity to enjoy the downtown. He thanked all <br />involved for support of the effort. <br /> <br />Greg Singley stated that there was a purchase of a Redwood City home that could <br />pose an embarrassing situation for the buyer and the City. He sated concerns that the <br />home was remodeled according to regulations that included conversion of the garage <br />into a room. He further stated that a City inspector stated the work was all done with <br />permits and signed off. Mr. Singley believes that there may be legal issues regarding <br />this situation. <br /> <br />6.1 Section - Motions - <br /> <br />A.
