<br />CES;"im 02/07/90 (Ol7/#27) <br /> <br />l. The buildings at 417 Fuller Street are determined to be a <br /> <br />public nuisance because such buildings would endanger the life, <br /> <br />health, property and safety of any occupants of such buildings and <br /> <br />affect the neighborhood and persons in the surrounding vicinity of <br /> <br />such structures. <br /> <br />2. The specific findings supporting the determination that <br /> <br />such buildings constitute a public nuisance are as follows: <br /> <br />Redwood City Code <br />(Sec. 9.5 (a) <br />Violation Sections <br /> <br />A Description of Violations <br />of Redwood City Code <br /> <br />(3 ) <br /> <br />A portion of the building or structure <br />has been damaged by a fire, earthquake, <br />wind, flood, or by any other cause, to such <br />an extent that the structural strength or <br />stability thereof is materially less than <br />it was before such catastrophe and is less <br />than the minimum requirements of the <br />Uniform Building Code, 1979 Edition, for <br />new buildings of similar structure, purpose <br />or location. <br /> <br />(4 ) <br /> <br />A portion or member or appurtenance of the <br />building or structure is likely to fail, or <br />to become detached or dislodged, or to <br />collapse and thereby injure persons or <br />damage property. <br /> <br />(5 ) <br /> <br />A portion of the building, or a member, <br />appurtenance or ornamentation on the <br />exterior thereof is not of sufficient <br />strength or stability, or is not so <br />anchored, attached or fastened in place so <br />as to be capable of resisting a wind <br />pressure of one-half of that specified in <br />the Uniform Building Code, 1979 Edition, <br />for new buildings of similar structure, <br />purpose or location without exceeding the <br />working stresses permitted in the Uniform <br />Building Code, 1989 Ed~tion, for such <br />buildings. <br /> <br />(6 ) <br /> <br />A portion of the building has wracked, <br />warped, buckled or settled to such an <br />extent that walls or other structural <br />portions have materially less resistance to <br /> <br />2 <br />
