RD 06-08 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING THE REDWOOD CITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br />BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2006-2007 BY APPROPRIATING $153,000 IN <br />ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE GRANT PROGRAM FUNDING THROUGH THE <br />CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THE FAIR OAKS <br />ACCESS AND IMPROVEMENT STUDY FOR COMMUNITY MOBILITY, AND <br />TRANSFER $8,500 FROM THE RDA ADMINISTARTION BUDGET TO THE <br />PROJECT AND $8,500 FROM THE RDA CAPITAL CONTINGENCY BUDGET TO <br />THE PROJECT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of the Redwood City Redevelopment Agency adopted Resolution No. <br />RD 06-05 approving its Fiscal Year 2006-2007 budget; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency applied for and was awarded $153,000 from <br />California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) Environmental Justice Planning Grant to partially <br />fund a $170,000 mobility improvement study known as the "Fair Oaks Access and Improvement Study <br />for Community Mobility"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Caltrans requires the Redevelopment Agency to identify a ten percent local <br />match (one-half may be in-kind and one-half must be local funding); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the $170,000 for the study will come from the following sources: $153,000 from <br />Caltrans, up to $8,500 local cash match from the Redwood City Redevelopment Agency Capital <br />Budget Contingency, and up to $8,500 local in-kind match from the Redevelopment Agency <br />Administration Budget; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the $153,000 grant is reimbursable from Caltrans; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, local in-kind match consists of Redevelopment Agency and City of Redwood City <br />staff time, city facility rentals for community meetings, and photocopying; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, February 28, 2009 is the deadline for the Redevelopment Agency to submit <br />invoices to Caltrans; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE AGENCY BOARD OF THE <br />REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The Finance Director shall establish an appropriation and estimated grant revenue in the <br />amount of $153,000 representing anticipated grant revenue for the Fair Oaks Access <br />and Improvement Study for Community Mobility Project. <br /> <br />2.
