FOR <br />OPERATION OF AN EMERGENCY SHELTER <br /> <br />FAMILY LIVING CENTER <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Emerg.ency Housing Consortium, Inc., a California <br /> <br />nonprofit corporation, ("Company"), is presently engaged in the <br /> <br />operation of an emergency shelter in the City of Redwood City, <br /> <br />California, known as the Family Living Center: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Company is operating the aforesaid emergency <br /> <br />shel ter on behalf of the City of Redwood City, a municipal <br /> <br />corporation in the State of California, ("City"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Company has requested financial assistance in order <br /> <br />to continue its program during the period from October 1, 1989 <br /> <br />through September 30. 1990; and <br />WHEREAS, City has reviewed said request and desires to <br /> <br />allocate to the Company the sum of Sixty-Four Thousand Seven <br /> <br />Hundred Ninety-Six and No/lOO Dollars ($64,796.00) for exclusive <br /> <br />use by Company during the period commencing October 1, 1989, <br /> <br />through September 30, 1990 for renovation, maintenance and <br /> <br />operation of the Family Living Center;and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council for <br /> <br />approval an agreement between the City of Redwood City and <br /> <br />Emergency Housing Consortium, Inc., and it is the intention and <br /> <br />desire of this Council to approve the same; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> <br />REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement (form dated 10/16/89), by and between <br />
