This Council hereby finds, determines and declares that <br /> <br /> <br />those items listed on Exhibit "A" are surplus; that they are no <br /> <br /> <br />longer necessary or required for municipal or public purposes; <br /> <br /> <br />and that the appraised value of the total of each of the items to <br /> <br /> <br />be sold as a unit is less than Five Thousand and Dollars <br /> <br />($5,000.00) <br /> <br /> <br />2. This Council hereby authorizes the sale at auction of <br /> <br /> <br />the City-owned property described in Exhibit "A" in accordance <br /> <br />with section 3~ of the Charter of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br /> <br />3. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br /> <br />execute such contract documents as are necessary or appropriate, <br /> <br />subject to approval thereof as to form by the City Attorney, for <br /> <br />retention of the services of an auctioneer for the sale <br /> <br /> <br />heretofore authorized; provided that compensation for such <br /> <br /> <br />services shall not exceed an amount equal to fifteen per cent <br /> <br />(15%) of the gross proceeds of said auction. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />11083 <br />
