<br />DES:mmg ("/14/89 (#251012) <br /> <br />np!('Ilr"IAL <br />VI\ \.:l.l~ <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />No.11071 <br /> <br />JUN 1 91989 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR COMPREHENSIVE STREET TREE <br />MAINTENANCE PROJECT FOR 1988-90, AND AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK, AND DIRECTING <br />RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />(Davey Tree Surgery Company) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 11044, adopted by this <br /> <br />Council on May 22, 1989, the City Clerk advertised for bids for <br /> <br />Comprehensive Street Tree Maintenance Project for 1988-90; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement for bids, two bids <br /> <br />were received and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Davey Tree Surgery Company, Livermore, California, <br /> <br />is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and <br /> <br />desire of this Council to accept the bid of Davey Tree Surgery <br /> <br />Company; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Davey Tree Surgery Company, in the total <br /> <br />estimated amount of One Hundred Ninety-nine Thousand Seven <br /> <br />Hundred Eighty-four and NoI100 Dollars ($199,784.00), computed in <br /> <br />accordance with the hourly rates stated in said bidder's proposal <br /> <br />dated June 13, 1989, for the contract for Comprehensive Street <br /> <br />Tree Maintenance Project for 1988-90, is hereby accepted, said <br /> <br />hourly rates are hereby expressly accepted for purposes of <br /> <br />determining actual compensation under the contract, and said <br />bidder is hereby declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for <br />
