Emplovee Retention Policv. The collection and operation contractors shall <br />provide employment preference to the current contractor's employees and shall <br />not discharge any retained workers for at least 90 days following the start of new <br />services. (new) <br /> <br />. Policies for Off-Site ProcessinQ Contracts. The above requirements shall not <br />extend to processing contracts for organic and recyclable materials (unchanged) <br /> <br />B. Equipment Requirements <br /> <br />. SBWMA Own Shorewav Stationary Equipment. The SBWMA shall continue <br />owning the stationary equipment at the Shoreway facility such as recyclable <br />materials sorting equipment, balers, fueling station, and scales. (unchanged) <br /> <br />. Altemative Fuel. The SBWMA shall encourage or require use of alternative fuel <br />vehicles for some or all of the vehicles and equipment as an optional proposal. <br />(new) <br /> <br />. Policv for New or Used Vehicles and Containers. The following policies shall be <br />established: <br /> <br />- The future collection contractor shall be required to provide all new <br />residential collection containers (new) <br /> <br />- The future collection contractor may provide services with used collection <br />vehicles and used commercial containers. at their discretion (subject to <br />maximum age limits) (new) <br /> <br />- The facility operations contractor may provide services with used rolling <br />stock and transfer vehicles, at their discretion (subject to maximum age <br />limits) (new) <br /> <br />. Collection Eauipment Requirements. Member agency franchise agreements <br />shall prescribe equipment requirements as follows: <br /> <br />- Residential collection containers: Wheeled carts of 20-, 30-, 60-, and 90- <br />gallons (or similar volumes) (new) <br /> <br />- Commercial collection containers: Wheeled carts of 20-,30-,60-, and 90- <br />gallons (or similar volumes) and bin container sizes of 1-,2-, 3-,4-, and 6- <br />cubic yards (expansion) <br /> <br />- Collection vehicles shall have cameras to monitor collection activities <br />(new) <br /> <br />. Facility Eauipment Requirements. Shoreway facility rolling stock and transfer <br />vehicles shall be equipped with cameras to monitor the area behind the vehicles. <br />(new) <br /> <br />. Facility Maintenance Requirements. The operation contractor shall perform <br />facility and stationary equipment maintenance and repairs which are equal to or <br /> <br />HF&H Consultants.
