3/8/99 <br /> --~ O R I G I N A L - <br /> <br /> R I= S O L U T I O N N O. 13576 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR FIRE STATION NO. 9 <br /> PARKING LOT EXTENSION PROJECT PHASE I - DEMOLITION, <br /> EARTHWORK, PAVING; AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, written bids without public advertisement were solicited for <br /> Fire Station No. 9 Parking Lot Extension Project Phase 1 Demolition, <br /> Earthwork, Paving in the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said solicitation three bids were received; and <br />WHEREAS, S.G. Barber Construction, Inc. of Belmont, California, was the <br />lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />accept the bid of S.G. Barber Construction, Inc.; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of S.G. Barber Construction, Inc., in the total amount of <br />Thirteen Thousand Four Hundred Ninety-eight and No/100 Dollars ($13,498.00), <br />computed in accordance with said bidder's proposal dated February 3, 1999, is <br />hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest <br />responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br /> 2. That certain agreement entitled "Agreement" (form dated 03/02/99), <br />by and between the City of Redwood City, a municipal corporation of the State of <br />California and S.G.
