<br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />DES:mmo 12/27/88 (#24/060) <br />DES:dj 01/09/89R <br />N O. 111957 <br /> <br />JAN 9 1989 <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING CERTAIN DESCRIBED CITY-OWNED <br />PROPERTY SURPLUS, AND AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT FOR <br />SEALED BIDS FOR SALE THEREOF, WITH RESERVED RIGHT FOR <br />SALE AT PUBLIC AUCTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City owns that certain personal <br /> <br />property listed on "Exhibit A", attached hereto and by this <br /> <br />reference incorporated herein; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council has received evidence that such <br /> <br />property is not needed for present or prospective municipal or <br /> <br />public purposes, and should be declared surplus; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Assessor has appraised said property and <br /> <br />determined the current reasonable market value thereof; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />declare said property surplus and authorize its sale in <br /> <br />accordance with Section 3~ of the Charter of the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. This Council hereby finds, determines and declares that <br /> <br />the item listed on "Exhibit A" is surplus, that it is no longer <br /> <br />necessary or required for municipal or public purposes, and that <br /> <br />the appraised value of said item is more than Five Thousand and <br /> <br />No/lOO Dollars ($5,000.00). <br /> <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />advertise for sealed bids for sale of said property at not less <br /> <br />than 90% of the appraised value thereof, with the right reserved <br />to the City to sell said property at public auction following the <br /> <br />submittal and opening of sealed bids, in accordance with Section <br />3~ of the Charter of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />10957 <br />
