<br />7/6/88 <br /> <br />EXHIBIT "A" <br />Page 1 of 4 <br /> <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />SENIOR CRAFT SPECIALIST <br />IRRIGATION/ POOLS <br /> <br />DEFINITION <br /> <br />To perform a variety of maintenance tasks involving carpentry, plumbing, <br />electrical, irrigation repair, construction, and repair skills; to assume <br />significant responsibility for general maintenance for City of Redwood City <br />parks, facilities and swimming pools including mechanical maintenance of <br />pumps and motors and maintenance of water quality. <br /> <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED <br /> <br />Receives general supervision from a Park Supervisor. <br /> <br />May exercise indirect supervision over Landscape Gardeners. <br /> <br />Irrigation <br /> <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - Duties may include, but are not limited to, the <br />fo 11 owi ng: <br /> <br />Design, install, modify, inspect, repair and maintain irrigation system; <br />install irrigation system clocks, pipe, wire, fittings, and repair clock <br />inner mechanisms. <br /> <br />Trouble shoot pumps, automatic valves, pump pressure and automatic timers. <br /> <br />Inspect, repair, and maintain playground and park maintenance, including <br />swings, climbing apparatus, benches and bleachers. <br /> <br />Install and maintain all types of fencing. <br /> <br />Repair and maintain drinking fountains; install, repair, and replace <br />plumbing fixtures. <br /> <br />Mix concrete, prepare forms, and pour foundations. <br /> <br />Paint surfaces as required. <br /> <br />Install and maintain drainage systems. <br /> <br />QUALI FICATIONS <br /> <br />Knowledge of: <br /> <br />Tools, equipment and procedures used in the construction, repair and <br />maintenance of grounds, and buildings. <br /> <br />Carpentry, welding, plumbing, electrical, masonry, and concrete work and <br />mechanical equipment. <br /> <br />Safe work practices. <br />
