<br />DRS:djk 6/20/88 <br /> <br />(#21) <br /> <br />trust resources through the Board's decision on water quality <br /> <br />standards for the Bay-Delta Estuary; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, each city, county and concerned citizen in the <br /> <br /> <br />Bay-Delta region has a unique opportunity to express support for <br /> <br />improved protections for the magnificent resource that is the San <br /> <br /> <br />Francisco Bay-Delta Estuary; <br /> <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> <br />1. This Council does hereby support the development of <br /> <br /> <br />complete and adequate water quality standards for the protection <br /> <br />of all beneficial uses of the San Francisco Bay-Delta Estuary and <br /> <br /> <br />does hereby urge the State Water Resources Control Board to adopt <br /> <br /> <br />such standards before increased diversions or exports of the <br /> <br /> <br />waters thereof are considered. <br /> <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br /> <br />transmit certified copies of this resolution to the State Water <br /> <br /> <br />Resources Control Board, the Honorable Rebecca Morgan, State <br /> <br />Senator, the Honorable William Duplissea and the Honorable Byron <br /> <br />Sher, and to the Committee for Water Policy Consensus. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />3 <br />
