<br />DFS:djk OS/20/88 (#21) <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />10805 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />JUN 6 1988 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE HONORABLE FRANK PIOMBO UPON <br />THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT AS JUDGE OF THE SUPERIOR <br />COURT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Honorable Frank Piombo was appointed to Judge <br /> <br />of the Municipal Court, Southern Judicial District, San Mateo <br /> <br />County, in January, 1971; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, his judicial expertise immediately became apparent <br /> <br />and he was appointed as Judge of the Superior Court in November <br /> <br />of the same year; and <br />WHEREAS, the citizens of the County of San Mateo have <br /> <br />likewise recognized his legal and judicial qualifications, having <br /> <br />elected, and reelected, him to his position on the bench; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in addition to carrying out his judicial office in <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City, prior to assuming office as a Judge, he <br /> <br />practiced law in our City, and has been active in numerous local <br /> <br />organizations and activities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Frank served as a member of the Redwood City <br /> <br />Library Board from June, 1979 to September, 1984; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Frank has announced his retirement from the bench, <br /> <br />and this Council desires to take this opportunity to commend <br /> <br />Frank for his devoted public service, contributions of his time <br /> <br />and talent to the City of Redwood City, and to wish him well upon <br /> <br />his retirement; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />10805 <br />
