<br />-2- <br /> <br />7. Insurance. Permittee shall furnish to the City public liability <br />and property damage insurance naming the City of Redwood City, its <br />Council, boards, commissions, officers, employees, and agents as insureds, <br />or additional insureds, insuring the same against all claims for personal <br />injury or death to any person or persons resulting or arising from the <br />conducting of the activities herein permitted, or alleged to have resulted <br />or alleged to have arisen therefrom, or from any act or omission to act, <br />of Permittee in connection therewith, in the amounts of $500,000 for each <br />person and $1,000,000 for each occurrence, and property damage insurance <br />for damage or injury to, or destruction of property, including the loss of <br />use thereof, in the amount of $500,000. Evidence of such insurance <br />coverage in form satisfactory to the City shall be furnished by Permittee <br />to the City at least ten (10) days prior to commencement of the ev~nt. <br /> <br />8. Damaqe to Public Property. Permittee shall reimburse the <br />City for the costs for any damages to City owned property in the vicinity <br />of the designated route, caused by or arising out of, the conducting of <br />the Bicycle Event permitted hereunder, or the acts, or omissions to act, <br />of persons participating in said event. All signs or other markings <br />placed in or upon public property, including the public right-of-way in <br />connection with said Bicycle Event shall be removed immediately following <br />said event. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />9. Compliance With Laws. Permittee shall comply with all <br />appropriate and applicable rules, regulations and laws in connection with <br />the conducting of said event, or any activities associated therewith. <br />This permit shall be in addition to all other permits which are or may be <br />required for conducting the Bicycle Event, or any associated activity. <br /> <br />10. Hold Harmless. Permittee shall assume the defense of and <br />indemnify and save harmless the City of Redwood City, its Council, <br />officers, boards, commissions, employees and agents from all suits, <br />actions, damages, or claims to which the City may be subjected of any kind <br />or nature whatsoever, resulting from or arising out of the performance or <br />failure to perform of Permittee hereunder, or otherwise arising from or <br />arising out of said Race, or any activities herein permitted. <br /> <br />11. Additional Matters. Additional or further matters not <br />herein described or contemplated in connection with the Bicycle Event <br />shall not be effectuated without the prior written consent of the Chief of <br />Police. <br />
