<br />Force, including distribution to parties which may <br />have withdrawn at an earlier date. Upon <br />termination, any surplus money on hand shall be <br />returned' to the parties hereto in proportion to the <br />contribution of the parties during the life of the <br />Narcotics Task Force, including distribution to <br />parties which may have withdrawn at an earlier <br />date. For purposes of this section, a City's or <br />County's contribution shall include but not be <br />limited to contributions of money, physical <br />equipment, personnel, telephones, physical plant, <br />clerical assistance, support staff, and rental <br />costs. Valuation of such nonmonetary services as <br />have been provided to the Narcotics Task Force <br />shall be valued at the cost to the supplying entity <br />at the time of expenditure. <br /> <br />3. Section 15 of the joint powers agreement is hereby <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />15. Termination. This agreement shall continue until <br />termina ted. Upon SUCll termi na tion, the prov isions <br />of sections 13 and 14 shall apply. <br /> <br />4. Section 20 of the joint powers agreement 1S hereby <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />20. <br /> <br />Insurance. The County shall add the Narcotics Task <br />Force to its existing excess liability insurance <br />coverage and shall maintain such coverage in full <br />force and effect during the life of this <br />agreement. Said excess liability insurance <br />coverage has a $250,000 self-insured retention by <br />the County. County shall provide for the defense <br />of any claims or litigation against the Narcotics <br />Task Force or its permanently assigned personnel <br />within the $250,000 self-insured retention. <br />Permanently assigned personnel are those persons <br />working under the supervision and direction of the <br />Commander. Legal representation for any such <br />claims or litigation will ordinarily be provided by <br />the Office of the County Counsel. <br /> <br />'. <br /> <br />Any out-of-pocket expenses or loss by way of <br />judgment or settlement, arising out of the acts or <br />omissions of the Narcotics Task Force and its <br />permanently assigned personnel within the limits of <br />the County's $250,000 self-insured retention, shall <br />be shared by the parties in accordance with the <br />fOllowing formula: <br /> <br />2 <br />
