<br />DAC.bjl 5/06/88 (#22) <br />ORIGINAL <br />MAY 9 1988 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE CAROLINA <br />PRESSURE ZONE WATER MAIN PROJECT, AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK, AND DIRECTING RETURN OF <br />SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br />---------- <br /> <br />N 0.1 0 786 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 10768, adopted April 12, <br />1988, the City Clerk called for bids for construction of the <br /> <br />carolina Pressure Zone Water Main project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, seven bids were received for <br /> <br />tbe performance of said work and filed with the city Clerk, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Casey construction, Redwood City, California is the <br /> <br />lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of <br /> <br />this Council to award said bid to Casey construction. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Casey Construction in the sum of Forty-six <br /> <br />Thousand Nine Hundred Forty-six and No/100 Dollars ($46,946.00), <br /> <br />for all of said construction work, computed in accordance with <br /> <br />bidder's proposal dated May 3, 1988, is hereby found and declared <br /> <br />to be the lowest bid for said work. <br /> <br />2. The city Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood city that <br /> <br />certain agreement entitled "Agreement for Construction of the <br /> <br />Carolina Pressure Zone Water Main project", by and between the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City and Casey construction for the performance <br /> <br />of said work in accordance with the abovementioned bid proposal, <br /> <br />a copy of which agreement is presently on file in the office of <br /> <br />10786 <br />
