<br />DAS!bjl 4/22/88 (#22) <br /> <br />APR 2 5 1988 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />No.I0774 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR REPLACEMENT OF THE MAIN <br />STREET BRIDGE AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR <br />SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 10720, adopted February <br /> <br />22, 1988, the City Clerk called for bids for replacement of the <br /> <br />Main Street Bridge; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, three bids were received for <br /> <br />the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, R. M. Harris Company, Inc., Concord, California is <br /> <br />the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire <br /> <br />of this Council to award said bid to R. M. Harris Company, Inc. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of R. M. Harris Company, Inc. in the sum of <br /> <br />Seven Hundred Seventy-nine Thousand Three Hundred Forty-six and <br /> <br />No/lOO ($779,346.00), for all of said construction work, computed <br /> <br />in accordance with bidder's proposal dated March 29, 1988 , is <br /> <br />hereby found and declared to be the lowest bid for said work. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City that <br /> <br />certain agreement entitled "Agreement Replacement of the Main <br /> <br />Street Bridge", by and between the City of Redwood City and R. M. <br /> <br />Harris Company, Inc. for the performance of said work ln <br /> <br />accordance with the abovementioned bid proposal, a copy of which <br /> <br />agreement is presently on file in the office of the City Clerk to <br /> <br />10774 <br />
