Advanced Journey level classes possess a specialized, techni- <br />cal, or functional expertise. They typically are assigned <br />significant responsibilities above the journey level, possess <br />specialized knowledge, abilities, skills, and experience, and <br />often exercise independent judgment in the performance of <br />their duties. Advanced journey level classes may provide <br />technical or functional supervision over lower level positions. <br /> <br />CLASS SERIES--PARAPROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL <br /> <br />A class series is a set of classes within a job family which are <br />closely related in terms of work performed and distinguished primar- <br />ily by the level of responsibility and scope of duties assumed. <br />Class series may include classes at the entry through advanced jour- <br />ney class levels.
