<br />SWC'.bjl 3/14/88 <br /> <br />(#22) <br /> <br />purpose of purchasing the aforesaid pumper trucks, and to <br /> <br />authorize the City Manager to enter into an agreement for the <br /> <br />purchase of said equipment from pierce Manufacturing, Inc.; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council further desires to finance the <br />purchase of said equipment through means of a lease-purchase <br />arrangement, if such means is found appropriate by the Finance <br />Director; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />l. This Council does hereby authorize the substitution of <br />the City of San Jose's bidding procedures for those required by <br />the City of Redwood City, and does hereby designate the City of <br />San Jose as the City's agent, for the purpose of purchasing, <br />through the outstanding San Jose purchase order therefor, two (2) <br />l500 Gallon-Per-Minute Pumper trucks from pierce Manufacturing, <br />Inc. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />enter into an agreement for the purchase of the aforesaid from <br /> <br />equipment from Pierce Manufacturing, Inc. <br />3. The purchase of the aforementioned equipment shall be <br />subject to the following conditions: <br />a) The first of the two pumper trucks shall be placed <br />on order immediately. <br />b) The second pumper truck shall be placed on order <br /> <br />2 <br />
