<br />S :nt 10/05/87 (#20) <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />10656 <br /> <br />OCT 1 2 19A7 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RELIEVING LOW BIDDER OF CONTRACTUAL <br />OBLIGATIONS FOR ROOF REPLACEMENT AND REPAIR PROJECT; <br />AWARDING BIDS TO SECOND LOWEST BIDDERS; AND AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF CHANGE ORDER AMENDMENTS TO EXISTING <br />CONTRACTS OF SAID BIDDERS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 10569, adopted July 20, <br /> <br />1987, this Council awarded a bid for roof repairs to certain <br /> <br />specified structures to Bryant Organization, Inc.; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, subsequent to said award, the City deleted certain <br /> <br />structures from the list of work to be done; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Bryant Organization, Inc., determined that it could <br /> <br />not cost-effectively perform the remaining work to be done, and <br /> <br />asked to be relieved of its remaining obligations under the <br /> <br />contract; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Blues Roofing Company was the second lowest bidder <br /> <br />for the repair of Herkner Pool and Edgewood Pump Station roofs; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Fidelity Roof Company was the second lowest bidder <br /> <br />for the repair of the Maple Street Pump Station roof; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intent and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />relieve Bryant Organization, Inc., of its remaining obligations <br /> <br />and to award said work to Blues Roofing Company and Fidelity <br /> <br />Roofing Company, respectively; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. This Council does hereby accept the request of Bryant <br /> <br />Organization, Inc., to be relieved of its obligations to perform <br /> <br />1 0656 <br />
