<br />EXHIBIT "A" <br /> <br />REPORT <br /> <br />TO THE HONORABLE <br />MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />September 16, 1987 <br /> <br />"OM THE CITY MANAGER <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />It is recommended that the Council approve the request to dispose <br />of, in conformity with State Code, miscellaneous library admini- <br />stration records from 1930-39 and 1960-84 which do not have <br />any further use to the library or to the City. <br /> <br />Background and Summary <br /> <br />In preparation for the move to the new building, the library <br />administration wishes to dispose of the following records which <br />have been retained longer than their usual life and longer than <br />is legally required by State Code: <br /> <br />Book Warrants <br />Miscellaneous Correspondence <br />Library Budget Preparation <br />Materials <br />Warrants, Paid Bills, Pur- <br />chase Orders, Payroll Data <br /> <br />1930-39 <br />1930-39 <br />1960-84 <br /> <br />1960-84 <br /> <br />All materials have been examined <br />ci ty Department Heads have been <br />of these records. <br /> <br />for historical value <br />notified of intent to <br /> <br />and all <br />dispose <br /> <br /> <br />JAMES M.
