11/23/98 <br /> ORIGINAL ~ <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13516 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL <br /> OF APPLICATIONS FOR TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT <br /> ACT FUNDS FOR THREE (3) BICYCLE PATH IMPROVEMENT <br /> PROJECTS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City desires the improvement of three <br />(3) bicycle path projects in the Redwood Shores area of the City of Redwood <br />City, to wit: 1) Twin Dolphin Drive Bike Path Improvement Project; 2) Marine <br />Parkway Bike Construction Project; and 3) Redwood Shores Parkway Bike Path <br />Construction Project (collectively, the "Projects"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Mid-Peninsula Bicycle Coalition, the Redwood Shores <br />Homeowners Association and the Redwood Shores Bicycle Committee <br />recommend approval of the Projects; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Projects conform to, and implement, the Transportation <br />Element of the General Plan and the Redwood City Bikeway Plan; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 66520, all <br />applications for federal or state grant funds for transportation projects must be <br />approved by the Metropolitan Transportation Commission; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council desires to apply for a Transportation <br /> <br /> Development Act grant for the Projects; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Rest-546 1 <br /> DES:djk <br /> G:lShared/Redwood/Council <br /> 11117198 <br /> <br /> <br />
