<br />DA. it <br />DAS:nt <br /> <br />ORIGINAl <br />9/10/87 (#20) <br />9/l4/87R <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />1 0 624 <br /> <br />SEP 1 4 1987 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR SIDEWALK REPAIR AND TREE <br />PROGRAM FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1987-88 AND AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 10573 adopted July 27, <br /> <br />1987, the City Clerk was directed to call for bids for the <br /> <br />sidewalk repair and tree program for fiscal year 1987-88. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received for the <br /> <br />performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Hood Corporation, Pittsburg, California, is the <br /> <br />lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of <br /> <br />this Council to award bid to said Hood Corporation; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The base bid of Hood Corporation in the sum of Four <br /> <br />Hundred Forty-five Thousand One Hundred Eighty and 55/100 Dollars <br /> <br />($445,180.55) and work unit bids for Work Unit No.1 computed in <br /> <br />accordance with bidder's proposal dated August 25, 1987, for the <br /> <br />sidewalk repair and tree program for the fiscal year 1987-88, is <br /> <br />hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared to <br /> <br />be the lowest bidder for said work. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City that <br /> <br />certain agreement entitled "Agreement Sidewalk Repair and Tree <br /> <br />Program Fiscal Year 1987-88," by and between the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City and Hood Corporation for the performance of said work in <br /> <br />accordance with the abovementioned bid proposal, a copy of which <br /> <br />1 0 62 4 <br />
