Woods <br />Construction, Inc. of San Francisco, California, for their low bid of $248,000.00. <br /> <br />Background <br />Every year the City undertakes a sewer replacement program funded by the Capital <br />Improvement Program Sewer Fund. This program is designed for systematically <br />replacing sewer collection system main lines, using criteria that include a history of <br />serv1ce disruptions, age of pipe, excessive maintenance requirements, and/or capacity <br />limitations. A priority list is reviewed and updated annually to determine the scope and <br />locations to be included in the program each year. <br /> <br />This year's program includes the replacement of 1,619 linear feet of sewer main by <br />"pipe bursting," a trenchless technology method that will minimize surface disruptions, <br />along: <br /> <br />, Whipple Avenue, between Alameda de las Pulgas, and Turnsworth <br />~ Wood leaf Avel}ue, between Woodhill Avenue and-Farm Hill Boulevard, and <br />~ in the easement near Brewster Street, between Hillview Avenue and Nevada <br />Street. <br /> <br />Bids for the above-referenced project were opened in the Office of the City Engineer <br />(public counter - Maps & Records area) at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, December 20, <br />2006, and are summarized below. <br /> <br />I <br />I Rank Bidder Amount <br />I 1.
