0 R I G I N A L 10/12/98 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13490 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> OF AGREEMENT FOR JOB TRAINING UNIT <br /> <br /> (CANADA COLLEGE - JOB TRAINING UNIT) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Canada College (Contractor) conducts a job training program for <br />residents of thc City of Redwood City (the Program); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct the <br />Program during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1998, and ending June 30, 1999; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, thc City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to <br />allocate to Contractor, the sum of One Hundred Thirty five Thousand, Eight Hundred <br />Seven and no/100 Dollars ($135,807.00) from its Community Development Block Grant <br />funds for thc foregoing purposes; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been presemed to, and <br />reviewed by, this Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve said <br /> <br />agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> <br />
